Phi Gamma Delta was founded on May 1, 1848, at Jefferson College in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania. The founders of the Fraternity, reverently referred to by brothers today as the Immortal Six, were John Templeton McCarty, Samuel Beatty Wilson, James Elliott, Ellis Bailey Gregg, Daniel Webster Crofts, and Naaman Fletcher. We are a social fraternity that has 110 chapters and six colonies at the foremost colleges and universities of the United States and Canada.
Chapter Goals: We are dedicated to building the professional and moral character of their brothers. We take great pride in community service and devotion to the success of not only our own brothers but to all of those in the communities we represent.
Mission and Values:

FIJI was recognized as the Best Chapter on Campus for 2006
The FIJI PIG DINNER is one of the largest events in our chapter’s calendar. It’s a time when the grads from the past join the brothers of the active chapter to untie in brotherhood and a night of celebration. You can learn more at www.wvu.edu/~fiji/pigdinner.html.
FIJI also tailgates every home football game at Centra Bank on Elmer Prince Drive across from the stadium.
Every year we host the FIJI CUP. It is a soccer tournament among the sororities. The money collected is used to benefit the Betty Puskar Breast Cancer Center.
